Salt rained

flowers

Salt rained from the sky

Softly like baby feet, and

Landed on slimy skins.

And as they writhed and melted,

twisting in curlicues in

the white crystals,

She thought she could hear screams

Emiting from silenced vocals chords,

Echoing in the garden they had dared to enter.
